Investor Expectations for FedEx & Accenture Earnings Calls

FedEx Q4 FY22 Earnings Call on June 23, 2022 05:00 PM ET.

FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) offers retail and institutional customers with a wide variety of business services,e-commerce  and transportation.

FedEx Corporation FDX will release its fourth-quarter fiscal 2022  which ended on May 31, 2022 results on Jun 23, after market closes.

High transportation and labor costs are likely to have hurt FedEx’s fourth-quarter fiscal 2022 performance, as they have in previous quarters. Costs are also likely to be relatively high due to disruptions in supply-chain.

Higher operating expenses related to labor market troubles and wage pressures, along with rising costs associated with network expansion, are anticipated to have harmed the bottom line in the upcoming fiscal quarter.

However, favorable cost and a strong demand scenario are likely to have helped the bottom line. Furthermore, despite markets reopening and workers resuming the preference for online shopping continues to thrive.

Accenture will hold a conference call on June 23 at 8:00 a.m. to report its third-quarter fiscal year 2022 financial results.

Accenture

Accenture, which generates more than half of its revenue outside of the United States, said it now anticipates a 4.5 percent negative foreign-exchange impact in fiscal 2022, up from its earlier forecast of a 3 percent forex hit.

In pre-market trading, the company’s shares fell 2.8 percent. They were down about 31% this year as investors worried about the Federal Reserve’s aggressive rate hikes to cool off hot inflation.

As a result, e-commerce demand should have held consistent in the upcoming fiscal quarter, pushing the top line. Higher housing delivery volume growth is expected to benefit the Ground unit, which controls e-commerce deliveries for most retailers.
