 Meanwhile, investors are looking forward to the following events;

FOMC Meeting

The FOMC minutes, which should exhibit a consistent hawkish stance to combat persistently high inflation, are another item that traders will closely monitor. Seven FOMC members will be speaking this week, so it will also be a busy week for Fed to speak. Speaking on Monday are Evans and Brainard.

Mester addresses the Economics Club of New York on Tuesday. Kashkari and Barr will speak on Wednesday before the minutes are made public. Friday marks Cook’s final appearance before the Fed.

BOE Gov Bailey Speaks

The BoE’s gilt-buying intervention’s expiration on October 14 may be the major event the following week. Some fear that the removal of the backstop may cause another exodus from UK government bonds. Even if those worries are unfounded, investors might not be able to rest easy until they have been completely eliminated.

Next week, we’ll hear from a range of BoE policymakers, who will all probably be subjected to a barrage of inquiries regarding the bank’s bond purchases, the government and its mini-budget, and of course the state of the economy.

Additionally, a variety of economic data will be released, including the jobs report on Tuesday, and the GDP, and industrial production on Wednesday.
